Nick Burrage, Founder of Ambitions AI

From Coca-Cola to Saatchi's

Nick was born in the USA, grew up in the UK, and studied economics at the University of Sussex. His first job was selling Coca-Cola door to door. Not an obvious route into advertising. But it turned out to be a perfect one.

He spent the next 15 years at the heart of the UK advertising industry, including several years at Saatchi & Saatchi creating campaigns for Toyota, Sky TV, Carlsberg and Nestlé. His final corporate role was on Ford's global brand team, split between London and Detroit.

Building Something of His Own

In 2016, Nick bought a small design agency and set about doing what he had wanted to do for years: bring the rigour and power of big-agency thinking to smaller businesses.

His father was an academic at the London School of Economics. His mother was a ceramic artist. Nick has always lived where those two worlds meet, where creativity and commerce collide. That is exactly where Ambitions AI operates today.

The Book That Changed Everything

The real turning point came in 2021, when his coach handed him a copy of They Ask You Answer by Marcus Sheridan. It solved a problem Nick had been wrestling with for years: why creating content felt like such a grind, and why so little of it actually worked.

On something of a whim, he emailed Marcus directly. Marcus had just decided that businesses needed help implementing the framework. Nick joined his very first coaching training programme and has been a Certified Endless Customers™ Coach ever since.

Outside of Work

Nick is based in Exeter, Devon, having swapped 40 years of London for somewhere with a beach in one direction and a national park in the other. He has three children: one in the business, one studying art in London, and one about to head off to university.

He is a competitive CrossFit athlete who competes across the UK, a lifelong motocross fan (he used to race; now he watches from a safer distance), and a proud greyhound owner who is always happy to stop and talk dogs.
